Adult Therapy
Things seem hard right now. Maybe you’re experiencing…
Anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, parenting can all bleed into other areas of your life. Maybe you’re seeing it in your relationships: lots of arguments, feeling like you’re not understood, or isolating yourself. Or perhaps at work: trouble concentrating. It could be in your physical body too- not sleeping well or not taking care of your body. Regardless of how it is showing up, therapy can be a supportive and compassionate process to help you break the cycles and patterns you are experiencing.
Teen Therapy
You know your teen is going through something, but you aren’t able to connect with them. Maybe your teen has…

Owner & Clinical Director
Like many people my path to today has had many bends and curves. I am thankful for it all even when I never understood what was happening. I started as a youth pastor for my church while attending the University of Houston to become a teacher. After teaching for a few years I went back to school to study clinical mental health to combine my love of teaching with counseling. Upon receiving my Masters of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University I worked as a school counselor by day and clinical mental health counselor in private practice by night and weekends while in supervision for my license. Those were 2 long but amazing learning years!
After working as a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor in private practice, I began recognizing that after trauma, many mental health issues could be addressed if people had better mind-body connections. I started recognizing that a more holistic approach was necessary and that by addressing both physical and mental aspects of health, my clients could have a better quality of life. This led to adding National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaching to my list of certifications. I also dove into the Brainspotting community after seeing the healing for trauma that was as effective as EMDR but with less time.
As you can see, I believe that constant learning is key to success in my field. I am always learning and always staying abreast of what is happening with my clients and in our communities to inform my work. When I am not working, I am reading fictional books, cooking wanna be gourmet meals, and running around to whatever activities my husband and I can get to for our 4 kids.

Brainspotting
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting (BSP) is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms.
BSP makes use of the natural phenomenon of where you look affects how you feel through its use of relevant eye positions. Together we will pair a fixed eye position and body sensation to an unresolved issue. This rapid, highly effective mind/body centered therapy technique appears to go beyond the cognitive awareness and connects one to their body’s innate wisdom to heal itself.
Could it help me?
Brainspotting can be a therapeutic tool for everyone. If you are new to therapy and are looking for a way to change patterns of behavior, Brainspotting can help resolve the emotional and physical pain that keeps you stuck in those patterns. If you have been in therapy before, but have the sense that your work could go deeper, Brainspotting can take therapy to another level of healing. If you are uncomfortable with talking about your past traumatic experiences, this modality will enable you to heal without having to tell or retell your story. Brainspotting allows access to parts of the brain that are involved in regulation. Lastly, Brainspotting can be used to enhance performance, creativity, and create regulation in your brain and body.
